The thing that really motivated me was people like you and me. How can we show our community?
And then I got my answer. I want to put a message into the world that ‘a place isn’t what makes the place, it’s the people’ and I really wanted to express that.
Dalby isn’t the place, it’s the people.
I decided to design a sculpture of a hand that represents the supportive community of Dalby. Each finger is engraved with a word that describes the people and what the town of Dalby represents:
Curiosity, Visionary, Community, Innovative, Creative
