Curator’s Comment
This work conveys a good understanding of light and dark, and effectively elevates everyday objects to objects of community significance and connectivity. It displays striking contrast and an engaging composition. The artwork statement provides an emerging insight; however, it would be interesting to investigate the parallels between rural and urban experiences in this respect.
About the artist
Anna Moeba is a brush name. Art for Moeba is usually a personal journey reflecting on her past, her present, her future, and her personal experiences. When she falls into a bit of a funk and unable to paint, she will often take photos of the small things in life which she notices as she walks to and from work.
