Meandering through the countryside the creek gives life to natural and man-made landscapes alike. Along the bank a polychotomous landscape can be found. Multiple textures, colours and patterns blend together harmoniously to capture the overall image of life along this ephemeral waterway.
Very powerful work. Captures the absolute essence of the contemporary landscape including the juxtaposition of natural and man-made elements. Very strong personal style that is resolved and confident.
About the artist
Through her art Dennis seeks to narrate the story of rural Australia in a contemporary context. Regional Australian colours are featured in compositions created from multidimensional images and perspectives, integrating to create her unique perspective of the country. A strong signature of her work is a minute attention to detail.
